This statement is published in accordance with the UK Modern Slavery Act 2015 and sets out the steps The Lions Prep Ltd (trading as Frive) has taken to prevent modern slavery and human trafficking in its own business and supply chains during the financial year ending 31 March 2026.
Frive is committed to acting ethically and with integrity in all our business relationships, and to implementing and enforcing effective systems and controls to ensure modern slavery and human trafficking is not taking place anywhere in our own business or in any of our supply chains. We take a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery, and we expect the same high standards from all our suppliers, contractors and business partners.
Frive is a UK-based meal delivery company providing high-protein, clean-ingredient chef-prepared meals direct to customers' homes. Our supply chains include food and ingredient suppliers, packaging manufacturers, and third-party logistics and courier partners who deliver our meals across the UK. We work primarily with UK-based and European suppliers and expect them to uphold the same commitment to human rights that we hold ourselves to.
We operate a number of internal policies to ensure we are acting ethically and transparently, including our recruitment policy, whistleblowing policy, and supplier code of conduct. These make clear to employees and suppliers the actions and behaviour expected of them when representing Frive, and our expectation that all those in our supply chain comply with our values.
As part of our due diligence process, we evaluate new suppliers before entering into a business relationship with them, and we review existing suppliers on an ongoing basis. This includes seeking assurances that suppliers do not use forced, bonded or child labour, and that they provide safe working conditions and fair pay to their employees. Where a supplier is unable to demonstrate compliance with our standards, we will work with them to address concerns, or end the relationship if necessary.
We assess the parts of our business and supply chains where there is a greater risk of modern slavery and human trafficking taking place, and we prioritise our due diligence efforts accordingly. Lower-risk, UK-based supply relationships are subject to standard onboarding checks, while higher-risk areas of our supply chain receive closer and more frequent review.
We ensure a high level of understanding of the risks of modern slavery and human trafficking in our supply chains and our business among our staff. Relevant employees, particularly those involved in procurement and supplier management, receive training to help them identify and respond to the signs of modern slavery.
We review the effectiveness of the steps we have taken to ensure no modern slavery is taking place in our business or supply chains on an annual basis, and we will update our policies and processes accordingly as our business grows.
